![]() | Family Campground Welcome from the Albrechts! |
Thank you for visiting the Walnut Hills Campground Website. We are located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, just three miles from Interstate 81 and 64. Road signs are located at Exit 217 off I-81, Exit 94 off I-64 Westbound and Exit 91 off I-64 Eastbound. Just follow the well-marked road signs for easy access.
Walnut Hills is a family-run and family-oriented campground with planned activities. We have a swimming pool & kiddy pool, an equipped playground, volleyball court, game room, covered pavilion, and a fishing lake stocked with bass, blue gill, perch and blue channel catfish. A fishing license is not required.
We have live entertainment performing weekends throughout the summer. On certain weekends, there are crafts for the kids and children's Olympics & Tournaments. Every Saturday during the season there is a haywagon ride. We have a well-stocked grocery store in addition to RV supplies and accessories. Join us in our club room for a great pancake breakfast on the weekends.
There are many things to do and see nearby. Only minutes away are Natural Bridge, Monticello, Ash Lawn, Woodrow Wilson's Birthplace, Luray & Skyline Caverns, New Market Battlefield, Statler Brothers Museum and the American Museum of Frontier Culture. There are antique shops, flea markets and craft malls within easy driving distance.
Instant on-site telephone hookups (a motel-type system where you can have conference calls between camping sites, jump on the Internet or even get a wake-up call), Cable TV, LP Gas, air-conditioned bath & laundry facilities, fax service and free trip planning, all combine to make Walnut Hills one of the finest "full service" campgrounds you'll find.
We are a Good Sampark as well as a Best Holiday Trav-L-Park. We are quality rated in Woodalls (WWWW), Trailer Life (9, 9.5*, 9) and Wheelers (
) directories. We are also listed in the AAA CampBook. We are noted and respected for having a clean, quiet, well-run campground. We cordially invite you and your family to share it with us!
