FRONT DESK CLERK

Our front desk clerks are the first people our campers speak with and need to make a good first impression. This position may be full or part-time and is only available between March and November.

The tasks for this position includes:

  • reserving sites for guests that suit their needs, according to the type and size of their rig, date of visit, and length of stay
  • registration of guests upon arrival
  • filling, lifting, and delivering crates of firewood (must be able to lift and carry 25-30 pounds repeatedly through the day)
  • answering phones in a polite, friendly, and helpful manner
  • accurately ringing up cash and credit sales using the cash register
  • heavy computer use, including accurate usage of reservations software (we will train you!)
  • keeping inside and outside of store and registration areas clean, organized, and stocked
  • pumping LP gas
  • leading activities for adults and children and cleaning up after

Successful candidates for this position will:

  • be available in the afternoons/evenings, holidays, and weekends as these are our busiest times and therefore non-negotiable
  • be able to perform job duties in a satisfactory way with minimal supervision
  • be able to lift and carry 30 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
  • have reliable transportation to and from work
  • be on time and capable of taking direction

 

Housekeeper

We are continuing to take applications for part-time work this summer.

 

    Maintenance

    Our maintenance workers are responsible for keeping our grounds beautiful. Our campers often comment on the cleanliness of the park, and we rely on them to keep it that way. This position is full-time and may be year-round with peak hours between March and November.

    The tasks for this position include:

    • painting, staining, and otherwise maintaining buildings as needed
    • use of push-mower, weed-eater, and other tools to maintain a neat and orderly appearance of the grounds
    • digging, sawing, and other groundskeeping duties as assigned
    • picking up litter as needed
    • pumping LP gas
    • delivering crates of firewood (may weigh up to 25-30 pounds) to sites
    • escorting campers to their sites and assisting with backing in
    • safely operating a golf car while on the park
    • answering questions asked by guests when possible and referring guests to an appropriate employee when necessary

    Successful candidates for this position will:

    • be available during the day, holidays, and weekends as these are our busiest times and therefore non-negotiable
    • be able to lift and carry 30 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
    • have a valid driver's license
    • be on time and capable of taking direction

     

    Utility worker

    We are not currently hiring for utility workers.

     

    Workampers

    We are currently seeking one workamper or workamping team for our 2018 season. Please contact Erika at office@walnuthillscampground if you are seeking a workamping position.
