This weekend is all about Earth! There will be plenty of outdoor activities and earth-inspired crafts to keep everyone busy! Join our staff in showing appreciation for our planet by signing an Earth Day pledge, entering the coloring contest and complete a nature scavenger hunt. The Wildlife Center of Virginia will be here on Saturday.
Who doesn’t love Mother Goose? We have a lot of crafts and activities that are centered on some of your favorite nursery rhymes of all time. Moms are invited to an informal tea time picnic on Saturday while you watch the kids compete in various games and relays.
Help us kick off the season with the opening of our pool. With everyone off from work and school, this is the perfect time to play candy bar bingo, make crafts, and compete in rubber ducky races, cornhole, and horseshoes. Dust off your supersoaker and bring it on our wet 'n' wild wagon ride.

What better way to end the school year than a fun-filled carnival for charity? Come and play all day Saturday! Classics like balloon pop, milk bottle knock down, ping pong ball toss, and a bake sale. You can even “dunk” a staff member with Beat the Bucket. All proceeds will be donated to the Wildlife Center of Virginia.
Ahoy! One of our favorite weekends is back-with a splash! Whoever heard of a pirate out of water? Bring your eyepatches and water guns. This weekend will be full of opportunities to get wet. From the wet-n-wild wagon ride to games like walk the plank at the pool and a sweet, sticky treasure hunt.

Howdy partner! Ever think you should’ve been a cowboy? Well here’s your chance. Kids can participate in the Playground Rodeo and decorate a cowboy or cowgirl hat. Everyone is invited to the Hoe Down at the pavilion on Saturday night and the best square dance will win a prize.

In the middle summer, why not enjoy some fabulous family camping activities by celebrating Christmas in July with us? There will be a site decorating contest, coloring contest, Christmas themed games and activities — of course! — a visit by Santa Claus. The weather may be warm, but the Christmas spirit is alive at Walnut Hills Campground.
